Role Overview

We are looking for a Testing and Validation Engineer – Battery Pack & Infrastructure who will be responsible for building battery test setups, executing cell, battery pack, and battery swapping infrastructure validation tests, and ensuring compliance with relevant automotive and EV standards. The role involves hands-on testing, data analysis, and documentation across cell, module, pack, and battery swapping station levels.

This role works closely with the Battery & Energy Systems Architect and owns execution of validation plans defined at the system level.

Key Responsibilities

Test Setup & Execution

• Design, build, and maintain battery test setups for cell, module, and battery pack testing
• Execute and support AIS-156 test methods and related EV battery safety and performance tests
• Perform battery pack testing, including functional, performance, abuse, thermal, and environmental tests
• Conduct cell-level testing, including:
  • Life cycle testing
  • SOC/SOH algorithm verification
  • Charge–discharge characterisation

Test Planning & Documentation

• Prepare detailed test scenarios and test plans based on validation requirements
• Create and maintain DVP (Design Verification Plan) and DVP&R documentation

Lab Operations & Instrumentation

• Operate and manage test equipment such as:
  • Battery testers
  • Cell testers
  • Thermal chambers
  • Data loggers and auxiliary lab instruments
